MeFormer Policeman Peter Hayward Launches New Educational Books for Kids at St Lawrence Centre Cafe in Dial Lane, Ipswich

Ipswich children’s author Peter Hayward is staging a book signing session at the St Lawrence Centre Café run by social enterprise Realise Futures on Friday, October 31.
Peter, 59, will be at the café in Dial Lane from 11.30am to 1.30pm to sign copies of his educational series of books called ‘Learn with Alex and Anna’. A former Suffolk Police sergeant, Peter wrote to entertain his grandchildren following his retirement. Now he has produced a series of books encompassing topics such as how trees grow, how aeroplanes fly, how the brain develops, how to be safe inside and outside of the home and the importance of adding up. He said: “Spending extra quality time with my grandson Ashley and telling him countless stories, I was rewarded each time with ‘that was a great story, granddad’ and the seeds of ‘Learn with Alex and Anna’ were sown. From this point, my stories for children began.
